The exhibition "Testimony" met with Istanbul at Guga Contemperory.

Bringing together the directness of illustrative line, the stark tension of black-and-white contrast, and the weight of contemporary social contradictions, the series positioned itself beyond decorative aesthetics—on the thin edge between seeing and confronting.

Participation in the 2nd ArtNova Art Fair held in Ankara.

My aim in participating in the Ankara art fair was to carry the spirit and perspective of Testimony beyond the walls of the gallery and into the wider field of contemporary art. What was born in an exhibition space shouldn’t remain confined there; it needed to enter new terrains, new conversations, and new audiences.

Istanbul-based contemporary artist Alper Yahya transforms his background in graphic design and moving image into an interdisciplinary practice encompassing painting, video, and public spaces. Inspired by social and political awareness, he expresses his work through street art. His broad range of work also includes comic art, video performances, animation, tattoos, and canvas-based works. Driven by the motto "There is no time or place for creating images," Yahya has taught design courses on digital education platforms and at universities and has won awards for his short films at International Independent Film Festivals.
